Epilogue to lecture

What plant is the most widespread on the Planet? What is determining the productivity of crops? What diseases can overcome them? How using genetic engineering can improve the resistance to it? How can decoding DNA look like? What methods allow to identify and improve the genetic sequence?

Lyceum students, who visited this online-lecture, have known the answers to these complex questions yet. We must underline that this online-lecture is the project of "Graduates for the lyceum students". The meeting was held by Valery Bocharova, Candidate of Biology. She was graduated from Richelieu Lyceum in 2000.

Yana Musiychuk, lyceum student of 7th grade: "I sure that biology is really interesting science. I have opened for myself a lot of new from this lecture. Especially I had liked the story about an admissible and inadmissible mutation. The lecture was really exciting and interesting as well as all the previous ones. Lyceum graduates have achieved a lot in life. So, we try to reach such resullts!”

Maria Litvinenko, lyceum student of 10th grade: «I would like to say a big thank to Valeria and to all organizers of this lecture. Despite the difficulties, they have done everything possible for our learning about this great and mysterious World! I knew interesting information about selection, the genome, and different diseases of wheat. The lecture was really helpful!»

What is more, some incredibly fascinating lectures will be conducted by our successful graduates. One of this is lecture of Sergey Nikolaevich Dashkovsky (Germany), Professor of Mathematics at Erfurtsky University of Applied Sciences (the graduator from mathematical class of the Richelieu Lyceum in 1991). The math lecture "How to order web pages on the Internet?" will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday 29 and 30 of March from 10 p.m. till 12 p.m.
